I previously ran this story as a much shorter reading order, but discovered more and more related issues as I realised how far back this went. The Corporation made their debut in 1976 (during IRON FIST MUST DIE! ), clashing with Jack of Hearts , White Tiger , Shang-Chi and Iron Fist . THE CORPORATION storyline introduced some of the faces behind the organisation as it started to focus on manipulating Captain America , attempting to obtain Machine Man , trying to turn the Thing against the Fantastic Four and accidentally upsetting the Hulk . With THE CORPORATION , Marvel played with the interesting idea of a powerful group with agents secreted within all aspects of American society, manipulating events to their own nefarious ends and clashing with costumed heroes.
