NEW BLOOD (1982)

These two issues can be read individually, but there's a lack of closure to Dazzler 's team-up with Spider-Woman that isn't tied up until the Wasp offers to recruit them into the Avengers . Dazzler's been trying to locate her long-lost mother and, when a vague hint that she might be in San Fransisco emerges, she hires  Jessica Drew to investigate. Things take a deadly turn, of course, leaving a little bad blood between the two. Which leads us nicely into the Wasp's decision to recruit two new members into the ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. She (and that slimy Tony Stark ) would like more female members. Captain America wonders if they should see if any of their former allies would like to return. But Thor thinks maybe it's time to get some new blood into the Avengers, and he has a candidate in mind... It's gotta be said, the line-up change issues of Avengers are undeniably fun. I wasn't much of an Avengers fan as a kid, but I always picked up...

BEHOLD... GALACTUS! (1981-1982)

Galactus chose Tyros of the planet Birj to become his herald because he was utterly devoid of morals. Unfortunately, Tyros wasn't devoid of ambition and, after gaining power of earth from Galactus and becoming Terrax  (during IN SEARCH OF GALACTUS ), he jacked in his new job to become a tyrant again. Last time we saw Klaw , he was discorporated and sucked into his own sound converter thanks to the Aquarian . Now he's back! And it's all thanks to the cleaner at Project PEGASUS . But what does that have to do with Galactus and how does it all play a part in the SECRET WARS ? Aside from the Fantastic Four , this storyline also features Rom who only recently returned to his home planet Galador and freed it from the Prime Director 's evil half, Mentus . He also redeemed the demented Terminator who had been placed Rom's human body with cyborg parts matching Rom. Dazzler also makes an appearance, changing the direction of Klaw's life and becoming an unlikely lo...
