Countless years ago, the Celestials messed about with the Skulls ' gene pool and, among other things, created an offshoot of Deviant Skrulls called Dire Wraiths . These warped and murderous magic users were chased off their home to the world and found a new home in the Dark Nebula , naming their new home Wraithworld . Then, just two hundred years ago, the Dire Wraiths invaded Galador , only to get their saggy arses kicked across the universe by the Galadorian Spaceknights . The Spaceknights spread out across the galaxies, hunting the Dire Wraiths as they tried to invade other planets. One such cyborg Spaceknight, Rom , came to Earth to end the threat they posed to our world.
