UNLIMITED ACCESS (1997-1998)

Since he was given the power to manipulate realities as Access (during MARVEL VERSUS DC), Axel Asher has been discreetly fixing cross-overs between universes to prevent the return of the Brothers. But his powers are about to change and an unexpected enemy is about to raise his head as various timelines from the Marvel Universe and DC Universe collide again...

Batman & Spider-Man #1 (tie-in)
Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime, and his business dealings with Ra's al Ghul turns sour when Fisk learns of al Ghul's plan to wipe out New York. He coerces Fisk to continue to work for them to gain a cure for his wife's cancer. Batman and Spider-Man of Earth-7642 (aka, Earth-Crossover) shut Ra's al Ghul's operation down when their secret ally is revealed to be Fisk, himself. Talia al Ghul secretly sends the cure to Vanessa Fisk and Ra's disappears once again.

Unlimited Access #1
Having just secretly assisted during Batman and Spider-Man's fight against Ra's Al Ghul, Access (Axel Asher) has to restore universal order when Mantis and a time-displaced Wonder Woman end up on Earth-616, clashing with Spider-Man and Juggernaut. Access also ends up returning the dumb Hulk and the Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) to their own times before he ends up in the Old West and meets Jonah Hex and Two-Gun Kid (turns out it was Access to sent Hex into the future). Falling through time, Access lands on Earth-811 where he's hunted by Sentinels and saved by the Legion of Super-Heroes...

Green Lantern #87 (tie-in)
While he was looking for help against Mantis and Juggernaut, Access zipped over to the DC Universe to find the Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner). Instead, he met Jade and revealed to her that her powers weren't quite the same as Kyle's before disappearing off again to find the Silver Surfer. Completely unaware of all of this, the Green Lantern teams up with his new JLA team-mate, Martian Manhunter, to defend the Earth from a terraforming alien ship.

Unlimited Access #2
Access returns the Legion to their universe, but not before they give Wolverine an idea how he could stop the Sentinels. He bounces through time, meeting young Batman and Daredevil and more on his travels. He eventually lands in New York and meets Morty the Homeless Man who it turns out is Access' future self. Darkseid and his minions, the Avengers and the Justice League of America all show up. Amazing Grace turns the JLA against the Avengers...
Unlimited Access #3
Access summons modern, electric Superman to stop the original Justice League and Avengers from ripping up Central Park. Darkseid forms an alliance with Magneto, enlisting the Brotherhood to Evil Mutants to capture Access. He's saved by the Teen Titans and original X-Men, but accidentally amalgamates Robin and Angel into Redwing...

Unlimited Access #4
Access combines heroes to create Wonder Wasp, Green Goliath, Captain America Jr, Jean Black, Quick Freeze and Thor-El, then sends them to attack Asteroid M, where they face the combined villains, the Brotherhood of Evil Gods. Darkseid reveals his secret ally, Access' future self who beats him up through a number of amalgamated universes until Access amalgamates with his evil other. Magneto and Darkseid turn against each other. Darkseid returns the Brotherhood to their proper times, then asks Access to send him and his fellow gods home, promising they'll meet again.

MARVEL MONSTERS (2005)

One of Marvel's fifth-week events from 2005 centred around the classic Marvel Monsters that would invade the pages of Strange Tales , Journey into Mystery , Amazing Adventures , Tales to Astonish and Tales of Suspense every month, before the age of heroes. While it was an okay event at best, the four one-shots finally established that those behemoths from outer space and other dimensions did actually inhabit the Marvel Universe ! The highlight is the Hulk 's clash with Devil Dinosaur (a character who was first introduced in the 1970s), but we also found out what some of these creatures had been up to since their early '60 debuts, an untold tale of the time some of the Marvel U's more monstrous heroes gathered to fight them and, finally, the introduction of the  Fin Fang Four ! The featured stories aren't connected and most issues also featured reprints of classic Marvel Monster tales. Marvel Monsters: Devil Dinosaur #1 [1/2] Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prow...

WHEN MUTANTS CLASH (1967-1968)

When Captain America leaves Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers start to come apart at the seams. If that wasn't enough, two former-members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants - Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch - are about to leave the Avengers in favour of rejoining their old boss, Magneto . Will there even be a team left? Perhaps they could consider a new member like Dane Whitman -  a guy who can't make up his mind if he's a forward-thinking or an old-school Black Knight .  Magneto has plan to keep an eye on the shipping news and raid boats that pass his mid-Atlantic island base to help finish off his machine that will turn humanity into his mindless slaves. Will the Avengers and the X-Men be too busy fighting each other to thwart this bizarre scheme?
