EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE is the story arc that sets up the SPIDER-VERSE event, which promised to deliver a tale that included 'every Spider-Man ever'! Peter Parker hadn't been back in the webs - or even his body - that long after Doctor Octopus mind-swapped with him for a while and tried to prove himself to be a Superior Spider-Man. The time-hopping nature of SPIDER-VERSE would finally allow the original Spidey to share the page with his Superior counterpart, along with other versions of Spidey we'd seen in the pages of What If, the Marvel Noir titles, the MC2 Universe, the 2099 Universe and numerous other alternate variations! SPIDER-VERSE is a celebration of what comics can do that other mediums can't by taking a billion concepts and throwing them all together in a way that still makes sense and is shamelessly fun!
