THE ROAD TO ONSLAUGHT (1996)

Nothing could stop the Juggernaut ... until he met Onslaught . For weeks, now (since THE FALL OF AVALON ), the X-Men have been manipulated by something or someone they know nothing about. Who or what is Onslaught? The threat is about to be revealed and, unfortunately for them, be all too familiar. Juggernaut has since been shunted to another reality (during INTO THE BREACH ), but his return could reveal the truth about Onslaught. If that wasn't enough, other new threats have arisen. CAT TRAP (2000)

CAT TRAP is actually just a two-parter, but the issues before that set the scene for the whole mini-event. T'Challa has accepted a challenge to his rulership of Wakanda and his claim to the title of Black Panther from his resurrected nemesis, Erik Killmonger . Killmonger is the only foe the Panther has never defeated and it's looking like this time isn't an exception. In fact, Everett K Ross arrives in Wakanda just in time to see Killmonger deliver what appears to be the killing blow!  Meanwhile, out in space, Deadpool has found himself on a mission that's left him stranded in an asteroid field.
