WAR BABY (2008)

The mutant population was massively reduced when the Scarlet Witch announced there would be "no more mutants" (during HOUSE OF M). But when a new mutant birth was recorded, the fight for the future of the mutant race began (during MESSIAH COMPLEX). The unexpected enemy turned out to be the time-lost Bishop who wanted to kill the 'mutant messiah' to stop the events of his future timeline coming to pass. Cable, on the other hand stood as the baby's protector.

The final battle cost Bishop victory and his right arm. Cable escaped into the timestream to protect the child from Bishop, but he's always been one resourceful fella. Now the future of the mutant race hangs in the balance...
[MESSIAH COMPLEX - Cable takes the 'Mutant Messiah' to the future]

X-Men: Divided We Stand #2[4/5]
Bishop attacks Forge in his home steals his time-travel technology and a cyborg arm, continuing his mission to hunt down Cable and kill the mutant baby. Two days later, Forge finds he's unable to recreate the time machine without Cable's technology. He beefs up his security then plans to use his engineering abilities to save mutantkind.

Cable #1
It's the year 2043 and Cable and the baby 'mutant messiah' are far from safe. For someone who's bounced around time a whole crazy lot, i can't see why Cable thought taking the kid to dystopian futures would be the best way to keep her out of danger. Sure he was prepared for the bandits who try to rob him but he wasn't prepared for Bishop to have tracked him down through time...
Cable #2
Having stolen a bionic arm with time travel capabilities from Forge, Bishop has used his keen detection skills to jump about and track Cable down to a diner where he doesn't waste any time trying to kill him! But the self-proclaimed local law, aka the Turnpike Authority, get between the tussling mutants until Bishop uses his energy powers to, er... throw a truck at Cable. Yeah, I'm not sure that's how his powers work...

Cable #3
The Turnpike Authority knock Bishop out and try to sell him to some dudes in suits, but he manages to break free and kill his captors. Cable narrowly dodges the truck and realises Bishop has damaged his time travel device. A waitress, Sophie Petit, nurses him back to health back at her place until an old, familiar face rolls right in the door...

Cable #4
Cannonball (Sam Guthrie) is the last mutant left on Earth. So, when Cerebra picked up mutant signatures he just had to go check 'em out. Bishop convinces Sophie's boss to give up her home address and it's ruckus time again! Cannonball holds Bishop off to buy Sophie, the baby and the injured Cable some time to escape in her truck. Bishop kills old Cannonball and Cable decides it's time for a showdown...

Cable #5
Cable visits the ruins of the Xavier Institute and nabs a whole bunch of weapons and a sexy uniform for Sophie. Bishop takes over the Turnpike Authority, but Cable has an X-Jet to take 'em out. Cable and the baby come close to getting shot by Bishop, but Cable jumps forward in time eight decades as he can no longer jump back. Sophie kills the suits who run New Jersey.

MARVEL MONSTERS (2005)

One of Marvel's fifth-week events from 2005 centred around the classic Marvel Monsters that would invade the pages of Strange Tales , Journey into Mystery , Amazing Adventures , Tales to Astonish and Tales of Suspense every month, before the age of heroes. While it was an okay event at best, the four one-shots finally established that those behemoths from outer space and other dimensions did actually inhabit the Marvel Universe ! The highlight is the Hulk 's clash with Devil Dinosaur (a character who was first introduced in the 1970s), but we also found out what some of these creatures had been up to since their early '60 debuts, an untold tale of the time some of the Marvel U's more monstrous heroes gathered to fight them and, finally, the introduction of the  Fin Fang Four ! The featured stories aren't connected and most issues also featured reprints of classic Marvel Monster tales. Marvel Monsters: Devil Dinosaur #1 [1/2] Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prow...

DEAD DAYS (2007)

The Marvel Zombies were a surprise hit when they made their debut, initially invading the Ultimate Universe , then getting their teeth into a mini-series of their own as written by Robert Kirkman of ' The Walking Dead ' fame. Earth-2149 was an Earth infected by a zombie virus that turned its inhabitants (seemingly concentrating on the super-human population) into undead flesh-eaters who retained their intelligence but lost all of their morality. We already knew the virus was brought to Earth-2149 by the Sentry of Earth-91126 , but how did it all play out in the beginning? And what part did Ashley "Ash" Williams of Earth-818793 have to do with it? How did the ' Chosen One ' assigned by God  himself to fight the Necronomicon 's Deadite ' Army of Darkness ' play a part in the end of humanity in the world of the Marvel Zombies..? MCG Note: Don't have access to the ' Army of Darkness ' comics but want to find out how it all began? Don...

THE BRIDE OF VENOM (1995-1996)
